“Dancing in the Corner,” performed by Roxy Tones, is my love letter to the LGBTQ+ community—a message of unity, hope, and resilience for anyone facing heightened fear, anxiety, confusion, or loneliness. This project was born from a deep desire to create not just a music video, but a safe space where every viewer can find solace and strength within our community. My direction and editing focused on capturing those quiet, powerful moments when we step out of the shadows and into the light together, choosing to invest our energy in what lifts us up rather than what drags us down.

Creating this video brought unique challenges—balancing raw vulnerability with uplifting visuals, navigating sensitive themes with honesty and care, and ensuring every frame felt authentic to our shared experience. But the real success came in the response: seeing viewers connect, share their own stories, and feel just a little less alone. That’s what makes every late-night edit and creative risk worth it.
